✿ Balancing Homework, Athletics, & Your Social Life and Eliminating Stress ✿

Hello!~

Today I'm going to be talking about something that's really important to me. It's something I struggle with on a daily basis, and I find myself wanting to give up at times. As you may know, I'm a volleyball player, both in high school and in club. I'm also a student, and academics are my main focus. My school is famous for being extremely difficult in academics. Being a teenage girl, I also like socializing and makeup and all that materialistic stuff.

I find that there are some days where I just feel extremely overwhelmed ; Practice goes until 9:30 p.m., and I still haven't started any homework? There are some days where I stay up until 12 doing homework, but those are rare because I feel as if I'm somewhat efficient.

Other students at my school stay up until 12 on a daily basis, and they don't do any extracurriculars! How do I manage to get my well-loved and needed sleep while still balancing academics, volleyball, and a social life?

One of the most important utilities is my agenda. My school planner is soo useful. I plan out all my future assignments, and I do them early sometimes so I don't have to do them on days where I have club practice. This helps me increase my efficiency and gives me extra sleep time! (:

Whenever you have a chance to finish or start your homework, use it!

Something you should try your best to keep away from you while you're studying or doing homework is your cell phone. Do your best to refrain from watching YouTube videos or texting while you're supposed to be doing homework. I know that many people say this, but it is really vital. I like to tell myself, "If you finish your homework really fast, you'll have the rest of the night to relax until whenever you want without worrying about assignments." Self-control is extremely important.

I also find myself planning outfits out for the next day of school when I'm doing something that doesn't require a lot of thinking, such as during car rides and meals.

Right now I'm still kind of drowning because although school season is over, club has just started, and that will take up a lot of my time, including weekends. I want to hang out with friends and relax, but it's not possible because of my crazy schedule.

I get myself through the school days and especially difficult days by counting down to finals and winter break! There's always something to look forward to, whether it's going out to the movies on a rare occasion, or seeing the person you fancy at lunch time.

Just know that you are never alone, and someone always has it worse than you. If they can do it, you can do it! All this crazy effort is making your future brighter and pushing you ahead of everyone else. I'll be right here with you the entire way (: As always, I'll leave you with my overused Audrey quote.

♡ Stay positive,
